Please reply this, how to become member of donor group, so that we can come to know what is plan and strategy for future.

I resonate the feelings of all on this forum, God bless you and your family, these are some thoughts coming to my mind... all might not be feasible in your case so take what you think might help the current situation and make an informed decision.
- Find an "good" immigration lawyer, most immigration lawyers are very community minded, they might also help you without any fees.
- There is a huge fiji community in US I am talking about well established business people (especially in automobile industry) who can help in applying a H1 visa for your wife as a backup and also meet local politicians, and take an infopass appointment to know what really happens to such cases like yours.
- Since you are a Indian Citizen you can go to India for a second opinion if you prefer to, there are great Doctors who studied in US and went back to start their own clinics. Canada is another country who gives free health care and have a shorter immigration process.
- Life in India will also be less expensive if you decide to live there with your savings of 8 years, you might want to look into India's policy on Fiji citizen immigration if your wife/children are Fiji citizens.
- I am sure you must have looked into cancer survivor stories, stem cell research, marrow transplant, blood transfusion and treatment options.
- Last but not least, concentrate on getting better - fight back, also look into your life insurance options, property papers and write a Will.

All the appropriations bill will be dealt by the new Democratic Congress in Jan-Feb (CR expires Feb 15). Immigratio Relief provisions can be attached to these bills...i believe there is widespread support for these among both Democrats and most Republicans

Are we sure that there are around 5-6k EB3 pending in the years 2002 and 2003. If thats true then it will take atleast 6 more years to process all the EB3's for 2002 and 2003 :(

I believe we did sufficient Brain storming on this and the following bottom lines came out to extract EMPLOYER LETTER :-
a) Tell them softly you will bear expense for 485 on your own as you feel for company interests and growth perspectives and that may get hampered if company has to bear the cost of 485 for most employees together and request them to just issue you the EMP letter.
b) Tell them that your well Educated wife is getting frustrated day by day sitting at home and this 485 will give her the much needed freedom to go for a job or start some small business.
c) If they ask for a bond - talk to them sweetly , negotiate the bond wordings as much as possible and sign it - Try to keep some emails / voice mails saved and later on ( after Porting Jobs) use them to let your employer know that you are going to DEPT of LABOR to expose the whole story if they bug you or threaten you too much.
Following 2 are little more aggressive approaches (Single's can pursue)
d) If you have 2 yrs of H1B left tell them that you are simply leaving them because these days Perm + 140 takes 3-4 months for right employer and PD are all current.
e) Tell them that you are working with another company for a Labor substitution unless they issue EMP LETTER
Following one is a extreme risky approach and is not recommended
f) Some one mentioned about somehow getting a Letter head and helping
yourself .... But your whole efforts and money could be wasted at a later point of time.

There are still some labor subsitution available. Lot of desi company want to use them before 07/16 oherwise they willl lose everything. Tell ur employer that you are getting labor subsitution and just ned to change ur h1. if you are not going to issue a letter in 2days, I have my options open.

If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.
Actually, it was an exceptional situation. As you are well aware of, we had to get an unanimous consent if the skil bill were to pass in the LD, so, we needed to have Session's approval. To deflect the situation, he just said that his office hadnt received any positive comments.. When we ended up jamming his phones and gave all the positive comments, what came out of that, nuthing.. he did not budge from his stance.. It was just a ploy and even if the entire US of A had called him, he would not have changed his stance.. He had to score brownie points from his supporters. He knows that the Skil bill will be passed next year, and may be some form of CIR even.. He can then blame it on the democrats and stand for re-election in 2009 with complete support from his supporters..
Its all a gimmick for votes. This is politics, same thing in every country, just more sophisticated here...

My attorney sent documents to NSC on July 2nd 10.30 AM
Transferred from NS --> TSC with receipt date Aug 29'th.
My cheques were cashed on Aug 29th. Have not received the receipt numbers physically by psotal mail.
My question to you is " Will TSC send the receipt number documnets directly to me or to my Attorney?"

HE says that I will need to send a letter to the address on receipt (TSC) with the copy of online address change submission and stating that you moved and needs the address to be updated asap. I don't usually comment on such posts and I have seen a lot of people take the side I am about to take. I just think you are being unnecessarily rude. It is these people and their opinions that cause IV to exist as a group. Lets say you are going to lock membership only to people paying a membership fee every month. How big a group are you going to get?
If it is going to be significant, then maybe that's the way IV should go and should just shut down public forums where there are members who can talk and members who have "not bought their right to talk"
I bring up the "monthly membership" issue because I did make donations on multiple occasions (you should probably look up your records and verify). And yet, under the new design, I am not a donor, I do not get access to the exclusive threads that only the privileged monthly members do. So, just like the OP, I am a thankless member who thinks the group is thankless. So, I do not know what initiatives IV has taken, but yet, I linger around the forums because it has so many smart people throwing around ideas, working on theories and just being friendly.
Maybe you should just create a little forum of yours in one corner and put walls around so no one can come in and make suggestions about things you won't tell them about. Does it take that much effort to be nice to someone? Just remember that he is free to tell you what to do irrespective of who he is. What you actually do is upto you. Just be nice for a change, it will make you get a whole new perspective on life!

I filed concurrently for I140 and AOS by sending in the application packet today. My lawyer suggested that even though the USCIS receives the packet tomorrow but are not able to receipt it before the 17th they can reject the it. I am a little confused about his advice, can anyone please provide a clue and sooth my nerves? It would be a tremendous obligation.

in one of the threads its said that all 90 senators had agreed to pass the SKIL as against one who did not (sen sessions) and since lame duck required unanimous voting it cud not, but when the demo's bring it up early next year, they would not need an unanimous vote on it but a majority vote? so statistically it sud get through? how far off am i on this?
